Frequently asked questions about diploma translations

Why do I need a certified translation for my diploma?

The short and simple answer is because it is an official document for which you will usually require a certified translation. The recipient can only know that the content has been translated accurately when it is certified. This is not always necessary but is usually the case with a testimonial. Look into this ahead of time to see if your translation needs to be certified or not. You can simply place your order with us using our shop.

Where can I have my testimonial translated?

You should always have a specialised translation agency translate your testimonial. Sworn translators who are state-certified and officially authorised to translate and certify documents in select languages work with these agencies. That way these professional translations are provided with an official stamp of approval that is also recognised and accepted in other countries. We specialise in exactly this type of translation at Beglaubigung24.

How much does the certified translation of my testimonial cost?

You can get a certified translation of your certificate from us at a price of 56.50 € per page. This price is made up of the translation service, the language combination and the verification of the quality and accuracy of the translation. The latter is ensured by the fact that we only work with translators who are certified by the state.

Into which languages can I have my certificate certified translated?

At Beglaubigung24 you can order certified translations in 19 language combinations. One of the two languages, i.e. the source or target language, should be German.

Our language combinations are:

German - English
English - German
French - German
Spanish - German
Russian - German
Italian - German
Polish - German
Portuguese - German
Turkish - German

German - Spanish
Greek - German

Ukrainian - German
Bosnian - German

Arabic - German
Bulgarian - German

Who translates and certifies testimonials?

Official documents, which also include testimonials, should always be translated by sworn translators. These sworn translators are state-certified and have taken an oath before a regional or higher regional court or an authority for domestic affairs, meaning they are authorised to translate and certify documents, deeds and certificates.

How do I set the number of pages?

A single page means one side of one sheet of paper – irrespective of the number of words on that page. The front and back sides of a double-sided document are considered two separate pages. All relevant pages in the original document are counted for the translation. The ‘number of pages’ comprises the total number of individual pages. Learn more here.

Will my data and information contained in the documents be kept confidential?

Of course, we handle all data we receive from you or from your documents with the utmost confidentiality - you can be sure of that! Because: In addition to certifications for translation services (ISO 17100) and quality management (ISO 9001), our service has an excellent information security management system according to ISO/IEC 27001.

  • Whether it’s a school report/certificate, secondary school diploma, a bachelor’s or master’s diploma, or even a graduate degree or state examination, testimonials always represent the end of one stage of life and the start of something new. And this new phase can also take place somewhere entirely different such as in a foreign country. But even there, you will need to show proof of your previous achievements.

We want to help get you started. When it comes to a gap year abroad, studying at a foreign university or applying for a new job on the other side of the world, simply translating your academic certificates yourself with an online tool is just not enough. You will not only require a good translation in this case, but also a certified translation which has been drawn up by a sworn translator in the respective local language. And that’s exactly what we can provide you.

  • Discover the world – have school certificates translated

In most cases, school reports and certificates are translated for one of these two reasons: if you want to apply for a gap year abroad or an extended school exchange or if you want to apply for an apprenticeship or a job abroad with your testimonial. Both cases require a translation of the report/diploma with proper translations of all marks and assessments that have also been verified by way of official certification. We’ve got you covered either way.

  • It’s time for uni – translation of your secondary school diploma

A secondary school diploma opens many doors – and one of them leads to university. It’s normal nowadays for your university of choice to sometimes be located abroad and not always just down the road. We can help you with your application and turn your dream of studying abroad into a reality: our professional translators will translate and certify your German secondary school diploma so that your application will be accepted abroad. We can of course also help you if you are applying for an apprenticeship or a job abroad with your secondary school diploma.

  • The next step – certified translation of your bachelor’s diploma

After completing a bachelor’s degree, career paths frequently lead to the working world or to a subsequent master’s degree. So, why not go abroad to do this? We will provide you with a certified translation of your bachelor’s diploma and transcript of records which has been stamped, signed and confirmed by our sworn translators – all in compliance with international standards and at a price that even (former) students can afford.

  • No limits to where you go – translate your master’s diploma, graduate degree or state exam

You’ve made it once you’ve got your master’s diploma, graduate degree or state exam. The working world is yours to discover – all around the world. It’s not only beneficial to have a certified translation of a diploma when you apply for a job, but it is also required by employers in a lot of cases. Don’t worry. We will translate and certify your diploma so that your future boss can see what you’re truly capable of.

  • Our quality for your future – that’s why we’ve been certified three times

Your testimonial is your ticket to a myriad of (international) career opportunities. That’s why the quality of our translations is so important to us and why we want you to be completely satisfied. All our translators are state-certified, have been sworn in before a court and authorised to produce certified translations. But it doesn’t stop there: we have also been certified three times in accordance with ISO standards: for our translation services (ISO 17100:2015), our quality management (ISO-9001:2015) and our information security (ISO/IEC 27001:2013).

  • What type of certificates can I have translated?

No matter if it’s in table form or running text, you can have every type of certificate translated at Beglaubigung24. The most requested certificates for a certified translation include:

    - Employment reference
    - School-leaving certificate
    - School report
    - Bachelor’s degree certificate
    - Master’s degree certificate
    - Internship certificate
    - Magister’s degree certificate
    - Diploma

Do you have another type of certificate and need a certified translation for it? No worries! Simply upload the document at the top of this page and we’ll draw up a certified translation for you.

  • When do I need to have a certificate translated?

Whether you need to have your certificate translated (and certified) really depends on who the recipient is. For the most part, schools and universities require a certified translation of a certificate. When it comes to applying for jobs internationally, employers have differing opinions. Some want a (certified) translation of school reports and employment references, some don’t think certificates are important for an application. That’s why you should always talk with the new employer or university in advance to clarify whether you need to submit a certified translation of your certificates or not.

  • Can I translate a certificate myself?

Of course, you can always translate certificates yourself or with the help of a translator tool, but beware: A self-made certificate translation is not recognized by most offices, authorities and public institutions! As a rule, you have to submit a certified translation that has been prepared by a sworn translator and verified with a stamp and signature. The same applies to universities and schools. Even when changing jobs abroad, employers now often require a certified translation of study and work certificates.
