What is a certified translation?

Anyone can translate online these days using common translation tools? That's true, but not always the right way. For a certified translation—one that's officially valid for government offices, authorities, courts, and the police—you need more than just the internet. You need sworn translators who have the necessary authorization and can officially certify your translation.

A certified translation has official validity and bears a corresponding stamp confirming the complete and correct translation of the source text.

What are sworn translators?

Sworn translators are (in our case, in Germany) authorized translators who have taken a general oath before a regional court, higher regional court, or internal authority. They are certified and possess the necessary authorization and qualifications to translate and certify content into specific languages.

Does Beglaubigung24 also offer the service of obtaining an apostille?

We do not offer apostille services. An apostille is a specific form of authentication used in international document transactions. However, you can usually apply for one yourself easily. This is done at the regional court where the translator is sworn in. The specific regional court is indicated on the translator's stamp.

If your documents already have an apostille, we will of course translate it as well.

How much does a certified translation of legal documents cost?

The price of a certified translation is generally based on the translation work itself, the verified quality of the translation, and the language combination. Our translators are state-certified and sworn in before a court, which is what makes a certified translation so special. With us, you receive your translated legal document with certification for a price of €65.90 for the entire document.

How do I set the number of pages?  

A single page means one side of one sheet of paper – irrespective of the number of words on that page. The front and back sides of a double-sided document are considered two separate pages. All relevant pages in the original document are counted for the translation. The ‘number of pages’ comprises the total number of individual pages. Learn more here.
