What is a certified translation?

Anyone can translate online today using common translation tools? That’s true, but not always the right approach. For a certified translation — one that is officially valid at public offices, authorities, district courts or the police — you need more than the internet. You need sworn specialist translators who are authorised to produce such translations and who are allowed to add the official stamp.

A certified translation has official validity and carries a corresponding stamp confirming that the translation of the original text is complete and accurate.

What are sworn translators?

Sworn translators are (in Germany, in our case) authorised translators who have taken a general oath at a regional court, higher regional court or an interior authority. They are certified and have the required authorisation and qualifications to translate and certify content in specific languages.

Does Beglaubigung24 also obtain an apostille?

We do not offer the service of obtaining an apostille. An apostille is a specific form of authentication used in international document procedures. However, you can usually request it yourself quite easily — namely from the regional court where the translator is sworn in. You can find out which court this is from the translator’s stamp.

If your documents already have an apostille, we will of course include it in the translation.

How much does a certified translation of my certificate cost?

You can get a certified translation of a certificate or proof document from us starting at €56.50. The price is made up of the translation service, the chosen language combination and the certification by our state-certified translators.

How do I set the number of pages?  

A single page means one side of one sheet of paper – irrespective of the number of words on that page. The front and back sides of a double-sided document are considered two separate pages. All relevant pages in the original document are counted for the translation. The ‘number of pages’ comprises the total number of individual pages. Learn more here.

Will my data and information contained in the documents be kept confidential?

Of course, we handle all data we receive from you or from your documents with the utmost confidentiality - you can be sure of that!
