What is a certified translation?

Anyone can translate online these days using common translation tools? That's true, but not always the right way. For a certified translation—one that's officially valid for government offices, authorities, courts, and the police—you need more than just the internet. You need sworn translators who have the necessary authorization and can officially certify your translation.

A certified translation has official validity and bears a corresponding stamp confirming the complete and correct translation of the source text.

What are sworn translators?

Sworn translators are (in our case, in Germany) authorized translators who have taken a general oath before a regional court, higher regional court, or internal authority. They are certified and possess the necessary authorization and qualifications to translate and certify content into specific languages.

Does Beglaubigung24 also offer the service of obtaining an apostille?

We do not offer apostille services. An apostille is a specific form of authentication used in international document transactions. However, you can usually apply for one yourself easily. This is done at the regional court where the translator is sworn in. The specific regional court is indicated on the translator's stamp.

If your documents already have an apostille, we will of course translate it as well.

How much does a certified translation of a medical document cost?

The price for a certified translation is comprised of several components: the translation service itself, the language combination, the document's length, and the certification by sworn translators. The latter is what makes the translation so valuable, as it transforms it into an official document. We offer translation and certification of contract documents starting from €48.90.

How do I set the number of pages?  

A single page means one side of one sheet of paper – irrespective of the number of words on that page. The front and back sides of a double-sided document are considered two separate pages. All relevant pages in the original document are counted for the translation. The ‘number of pages’ comprises the total number of individual pages. Learn more here.
